If you have any ideas on how I could try to repair my registry, how I could get my drivers reinstalled, or if I should just completely reinstall Windows if I can, please let me know. If I should go through with the reinstall of Windows, should I try to disconnect my D drive from my laptop while it reinstalls to keep those personal files off that drive? I haven't tried a USB media installation tool (this laptop doesn't have a DVD drive) to reinstall Windows completely as I am not completely sure how to do the process, if it will even work, and if my files will be compromised in the process.

I've tried numerous things, such as doing sfc /scannow that works perfectly normally, a DISM repair that finished with no errors, using CCleaner, trying a system restore that got stuck on 'restoring the registry' for about 7 hours, and even going as far as trying to reset my PC completely (which resulted in it failing after it was done, leaving my computer the same way it is now). All of these appear as malfunctioning in Device Manager.

This includes my sound driver, my SD card reader driver, my graphics card driver, and probably some others that I haven't tested so far. I'm not sure what happened to cause this, but if I try to reinstall any driver, or update a missing driver, I always get the prompt in the built-in Windows troubleshooter, 'The configuration registry database is corrupt.' This caused several of my laptop's components to lose their drivers completely with no way of installing them back.
